Magewell USB Capture Plus plug-and-play video capture devices

Magewell’s external USB Capture Plus devices enable all types of computers including laptops to capture professional video and audio signals through a standard USB 3.0 interface, with no additional power source required.

Featuring driver-free design and automatic input detection for true plug-and-play operation, the devices support Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems and offer broad compatibility with popular live streaming, encoding, live production, collaboration, video conferencing, medical imaging and lecture recording software.

Three HD and two 4K models provide a flexible choice of input connectivity and input resolution. The USB Capture HDMI Plus captures video up to 1920×1200 at 60fps over HDMI and also supports 4K inputs at 30fps, down-converting them automatically to HD for capture. The USB Capture SDI Plus captures video up to 1080p60 via 3Gbps SDI, while the USB Capture DVI Plus supports video up to 1200p60 through its DVI input and can also capture HDMI, VGA, and component analog signals with simple adapters.

The USB Capture SDI 4K Plus natively captures video up to 4096×2160 at 30fps over its 6Gbps SDI interface, while the USB Capture HDMI 4K Plus supports 4K Ultra HD inputs up to 60fps via HDMI 2.0 connectivity, capturing them at 30fps. All SDI and HDMI models offer loop-through connections, reducing workflow costs and complexity.

USB Capture Plus devices support embedded audio in SDI or HDMI input signals, as well as separate analog audio inputs and outputs for capture and monitoring. All five models feature FPGA-based video processing, providing high-quality deinterlacing, up/down conversion and image controls while maximizing CPU availability for third-party software.
