Telstra Broadcast solutions

The Telstra Special Events Network is an aggregation of dedicated teams, high-bandwidth broadcast media technology platforms, and advanced support operations for major events requiring bespoke managed solutions. Telstra Broadcast Services’ experts curate a solution from Telstra’s full media network suite, including fibre, satellite, and internet connectivity to best suit the needs of the customer.

Dedicated broadcast operations support the delivery from global master control rooms and field operations onsite of the event. The network has a media backbone of up to 100Gbps. Our trusted networks have proven resilience and true end-to-end network diversity. With this robust infrastructure behind it, any broadcaster can have complete confidence that their sporting events are going to be delivered smoothly and successfully.

This network will be used to deliver the Tokyo Games to rights holding broadcasters in Europe, Asia Pacific, and the Americas.* Telstra has used this network since 2017 to deliver all 47+ Women’s Tennis Association events across the globe for DAZN, including Summer 2021 events in Europe and North America. The network was also used in major events such as Americas Cup 36 and Rugby World Cup in 2019/2020 series, to name a few.
