Type R for Radio

Type R for Radio is a modular, expandable, IP-based radio system which uses standard networking hardware and soft panels and can be tailored to operator needs. Type R embraces radio’s widespread adoption of open IP standards, both on the production and output side, to provide a very flexible IP backbone that can be used across multiple radio sites. It is ST2110 compatible and all panels use power over COTS POE+ switches. Type R for Radio has a flexible IP backbone that can be used across multiple sites and a 2U core that can power up to three independent mixing environments. Its flexible soft panels can be adapted on the fly to meet changing requirements, and all signal manipulation can be done remotely in the Calrec Assist web GUI or on Type R’s dedicated flexible hardware.
