NAB Show award winners will take the Main Stage in North Hall today for the “We Are Broadcasters” awards ceremony, where winners of the NAB Crystal Radio Awards, the NAB Crystal Heritage Award, the Engineering Achievement Awards for Radio and Television and more will be honored.
Michael Cooney, chief technology officer at Beasley Media Group, will receive the Radio Engineering Achievement Award. The Television Engineering Achievement Award will go to H. Douglas Lung, vice president of broadcast technology at NBCUniversal Local.
The ceremony is open to any NAB Show attendee with an exhibits pass.
Crystal Radio Awards Finalists
The NAB has named finalists for its 36th annual Crystal Radio Awards, a program that recognizes radio stations for their year-round commitment to community service. Also, KTAR-FM Phoenix, Arizona, will be honored with the Crystal Heritage Award, recognizing the stations that have won five Crystal Radio Awards. Only 10 stations have received the Crystal Heritage Award. Winners will be announced during the session. The 2023 Crystal Radio Awards finalists are:
