Speakers
Yves Bergquist is a data scientist and the director of the AI & Neuroscience in Media Project at USC’s Entertainment Technology Center, where his team helps the entertainment industry accelerate the deployment of next-generation analytics standards and solutions, including artificial intelligence.
He is also the CEO of AI engineering firm Novamente, which applies neural-symbolic artificial general intelligence to large enterprise problems. Novamente is the AI developer behind Hanson Robotics’ “Sophia.” His team also built the world’s very first fully autonomous AI-driven hedge fund, Aidyia, which is now defunct.
Before Novamente, Bergquist managed business development at analytics firms Bottlenose and Ranker in Los Angeles. He was part of the founding team at Singularity University, a joint venture between Google and NASA.
Pinar Seyhan Demirdag is an A.I. director, multidisciplinary creator, visionary, an outspoken advocate for the conscious use of technology, and an opinion leader in generative A.I.
In 2020, Demirdag and Gary Koepke founded Seyhan Lee, which has become the bridge between generative AI and the entertainment industry. Seyhan Lee created the first generative AI VFX for a feature film (“Descending the Mountain“) and the first brand-sponsored generative AI film (“Connections/Beko“).
In 2022, they announced Cuebric, a tool that combines several different AIs to streamline the production of 2.5-D environments for virtual production stages.
The panel will be moderated by NAB Amplify Senior Editor Emily M. Reigart.
