NAB Show is the home of innovation for the broadcast, media, and entertainment industries. Over the years, the event has grown into a rich proving ground for the trailblazers of modern technology as they drive new solutions from ideation towards realization. Nowhere else will you find the thought leadership, future vision, and expertise uniquely dedicated to enhancing and enriching the consumer experience.
On April 24, step onto the show floor in Las Vegas, and you’ll see all the exciting ways that NAB is supporting the development of innovation.
“When it comes to innovation, NAB Show is where it all comes together — from bold new ideas to award-winning implementation and everything in between,” said John Clark, executive director of PILOT, a coalition of innovators, educators, and advocates dedicated to advancing broadcast technology and cultivating new media opportunities.
“When you look out on the show floor, you see representatives from every stage of that journey. Side by side they learn from each other and come together to solve the issues of today and tomorrow in our industry. That’s the beauty of NAB Show.”
Innovation-Focused
This year, NAB Show will feature innovation-focused experiential zones, with first-time exhibitors, startups and established companies alike highlighting emerging technologies aligned with each show destination — Create, Connect, Capitalize, and Intelligent Content.
Create: Content creation from pre-production to post
For decades, the movie industry has tried to add scents to movies, but with no real success until now. With iRomaScents, we’ve taken a unique approach that resolves the limitations that prevented previous concepts from becoming practical solutions. And by adding scents to movies, VR/AR experiences, commercials, and video games, we’re giving creators the ability to add another layer of information to make their media even more compelling. We’ve reached the stage of commercialization with our product, and as the leading marketplace for innovation and transformative technologies shaping the future of media and entertainment,
NAB Show is the perfect place to showcase iRomaScents and its applications to key decision makers and the press. We expect to generate buzz for our solution at the show, while creating strategic connections across relevant industries. We’re also excited to learn more about the whole media environment and decision-making chain of command to better understand the best way to approach the right people and accelerate the market penetration of iRomaScents as efficiently as possible.

Within the worlds of broadcast and social media, creators are finding it increasingly challenging to stay connected with their audiences. Viewers already have many options, and the battle for eyeballs is further exacerbated by the rise of streaming services and evolving social media channels. At the same time, on-screen talent and influencers are scrambling to churn out content faster and cheaper. AI Studios from DeepBrain AI is designed to meet both of these challenges by empowering creators with digital twins — sometimes called virtual humans or AI humans — that help them increase their content output, deliver under-budget, stay connected, and avoid burnout.
At DeepBrain AI, we apply advanced deep learning techniques to create digital twins of real people that look like, sound like, and even share the same mannerisms and hand gestures as their real-world counterparts. AI models can be accessed via the AI Studios portal, while a simple-to-use, script-to-video interface enables custom video creation. Creators simply type out the script, adjust the images and background as desired, and hit the export button. Within seconds they have a broadcast-quality video to share.
We expect the use of AI humans to transform the media landscape, and our technology is an enabler that checks all the boxes — it increases the frequency of content, reduces products costs, and provides a glimpse into how media can pivot towards the metaverse.
At NAB Show, we’re hoping to meet with on-air talent — anyone from news anchors to Instagram influences and Peloton instructors — that could benefit from supplementing their content stream with AI human content. And since we’re constantly striving to improve our AI models, we’ll also be looking for candid feedback on what we can do better to increase adoption of our technology within the North American market.

Connect: Content distribution and delivery
StageConnect is known for building some of the industry’s most unique and technically advanced two-way, real-time streaming solutions. At the 2022 NAB Show, we’ll be showcasing software that connects remote audiences for real-time interaction with speakers, presenters, and attendees at live events by grouping and displaying remote attendees on display screens — blowing the walls off physical venues and democratizing access to events and ideas.
Our solution was purpose-built to provide display systems with new capabilities, dramatically reduce the cost and complexity of running virtual and hybrid events at scale, and basically enable the previously impossible. Not only is StageConnect enabling the applications our industry has longed for, but it is laying a foundation for those that will emerge in the coming years.
At NAB Show, we’ll be meeting with existing partners and clients and hoping to forge new relationships with brands and providers involved in a range of hybrid events — from concerts and summits to conferences and meetings. We fully expect to have sore feet at the end of the show.
— Cole Morgan, founder and CEO, StageConnect
Vivoh technologies allow live streams from Zoom, WebEx, and Microsoft Teams to reach significantly larger audiences by building upon the multicast protocol that now extends to private 5G networks and over-the-air (OTA) via ATSC 3.0.
As the largest gathering for the broadcast industry, NAB Show is an extremely important event for us, allowing us to showcase our latest innovations — including our multicast app for Zoom — to tens of thousands of attendees. I’ll also be presenting ‘How to Broadcast Zoom via Multicast’ in the Connect Inspiration Zone, which will delve into multicast distribution on 5G, in browsers, and across domains.
At the show, we’ll be looking for partnerships with technology and communications service providers that resell Zoom, WebEx, and Microsoft Teams.
At its culmination, we expect to have had hundreds of meaningful engagements that result in a short list of premier partners that are ready to sell our software and services. We also hope to learn from industry experts about new technologies — including video codecs like AV1 and error-correct systems like RaptorQ — that will help us improve our software offerings.
— Erik Herz, CEO, Vivoh
ATSC 3.0 NextGen TV technology is migrating to and enhancing broadcast solutions by introducing additional IP technologies on top of traditional applications. Our product line combines both of these technologies, putting us in a position to take a leading role as the standard continues its rapid rollout.
As the largest broadcast and TV technology event, there is no better place than NAB Show to showcase our ATSC 3.0 and ‘Beyond TV’ solutions. This year we’re demonstrating our new Testbed platform, which is available at a fraction of the cost of other solutions on the market and allows developers and stakeholders to test their latest developments prior to making heavy investments to finance large-scale projects.
We’ve scheduled meetings with some of the biggest broadcasters and broadcast organizations in the U.S. and beyond and will be speaking with a long list of leading technology vendors, system integrators, and application developers involved with ATSC 3.0. We also look forward to learning about other advancements in the standard at the show, as it continues to evolve on a regular basis.
— Jonathan Rind, Marketing and Business Development Director, VBox Communications Ltd.
Capitalize: Content monetization solutions
ATSC 3.0 NextGen TV is a watershed moment for our industry. It allows broadcasters to develop a bidirectional relationship with viewers and better compete with digital platforms like Facebook and Google.
TVadSync helps broadcasters better understand their first-party data, and as ATSC 3.0 takes off, NAB Show is the perfect place to showcase our platform’s new features that take advantage of the standard’s return data path capabilities. At the show, our target audience are key executives that are driving the future for TV station groups on both the technology and sales intelligence sides. These broadcasters have the most to gain from NextGen TV and will see the greatest returns from enhancing their capabilities in terms of data collection, consent management, and analysis.
At NAB Show, we expect to deepen our current relationships with station groups, while developing new ones to expand our platform’s reach. We’re also eager to learn more about the expectations the industry has for ATSC 3.0 and how quickly the various stakeholders will roll it out.
— Ronan Higgins, founder and CEO, TVadSync
Intelligent Content: All Things Data, AI and Automation
At BEAM, we believe in the transformative impact of data, AI, and automation in the media industry. To provide film studios, broadcasters, and more with the intel they need to keep their production fleets up and running, we developed a unique AI graph database that links each of their products to millions of dynamic data from vendors and related products.
As a 2021 PILOT Innovation Challenge winner, we were awarded with free booth space at NAB show, in addition to travel and accommodations for our team. This provides us with an incredible opportunity to increase our presence at the show without exceeding our startup marketing budget, and we plan to take full advantage of it. At NAB Show, we’ll be launching our BeamON cloud-based product intelligence platform, which has been in development and testing for over two years. The platform is designed to help engineers more efficiently manage their critical technology infrastructure to reduce downtime on-set and security breaches across the organization. This is a $6 billion problem for our industry that has largely gone unaddressed.
Furthermore, BeamON provides a unique data solution that enables manufacturers, resellers, and system integrators to better provide their service offerings. NAB Show is not only a great place for us to meet with potential adopters — we’ve already booked meetings with Netflix and Hearst, Gray and Sinclair — but it also provides us with the opportunity to build partnerships with manufacturers and system integrators.
Based on feedback we’ve received from early pilot testers and partners; we fully expect to generate resounding interest and buy-in for BeamON and come home with more demo meetings and trial users than we can handle. That’s exactly the type of problem we want to have. Of course, we’ll also be at the show to learn from others, and we can’t wait to see the latest developments in production technology and workflows.
— David Kaszycki, cofounder and CEO, BEAM Dynamics
