Exclusive new research by Jacobs Media features simulated driving testing to determine best practices for how radio can optimize its appearance in connected cars.

You’ll see video (above) of radio listeners sharing their dashboard experiences to help guide radio on the best presentation of music and commercials in the car.

To dive even deeper into the subject, watch this recorded Q&A Amplify hosted with Fred and Paul Jacobs. During the session, they addressed what the findings mean for programmers, technologists, and drivers.

Fred Jacobs is frequently cited as a radio visionary. He is credited with envisioning and launching the Classic Rock format while serving as the program director for WRIF-FM in Detroit.

In 2018, Jacobs was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame, the first radio to consultant receive this recognition.

Prior to launching Jacobs Media in 1983, he had served as the director of research for the radio and publishing divisions for Frank N. Magid Associates. He also was director of radio research for the ABC-FM Owned and Operated Radio Stations.
