Overview

The Transmission module manages complex inventories of terrestrial and space resources. MediaPulse Transmission’s integrated engineering planning tools provide a comprehensive solution for the dynamic requirements of feed scheduling. The complexities of total bandwidth utilization and integration can be normalized by allowing customer service representatives to easily see all available bandwidth via our graphical Bandwidth Booking screen.

Scheduled events are displayed with current status on all of Media Pulse’s operations screens. These screens allow operation center personnel to instantly and continually monitor the status of all feeds in real time.

Reporting

A wide range of standard reports are included and using the built-in Report Editor these standard reports can be customized additionally new operational or financial reports can be created, all of which are available to any user with the appropriate level of security in MediaPulse. Comprehensive search screens allow staff a unique “drill-down” capability for more detailed analysis of report data before publishing the reports. Tools in the Preview screen also allow more control over the look of the report. The reports can be printed or e-mailed in PDF form or exported in a variety of file formats, including Excel if needed.

Screen Layout Editor

Allows the layout of every screen to be completely customized to individual user needs. Fields, including client ‘custom’ fields, and columns can be removed and added. Multiple layouts can be created for the same application, giving the ability to design screens for both groups or individual users. Comprehensive language localization is available which can be further configured. Changing the prompt in one place updates all layouts and reports.

Security

The security system supports unlimited users and security roles with read/write/view privileges definable by user and by field. The user authentication can be tied to Windows, Active Directory, LDAP or SQL.

Issue Management

The Issue Management application allows a site to track ‘exceptions’ or ‘issues’ related to Bids/Quotes, Jobs, Orders, and Resources. As issues are created, they can be assigned to individuals for resolution and each action taken by the assignee can be recorded until the issue is resolved.  Maintains records of all service calls and produces historical service reports.

Transmission Integration

Combining MediaPulse Transmission with our MediaPulse Development Platform enables your team to construct interfaces to transmit bookings directly to other systems in the transmission chain or let our engineering team do this for you.

This can automate the control of switchers, antennas, IRDs, and recording devices.  Further your automation by creating the asset record directly into your  MAM systems while generating real time notifications.  Dashboards can also be configured to show the status of orders with real time data. The system handles the most complex rate cards with a variety of parameters that enables fully automated billing for transmission jobs.

Our Feed Schedule is optimized for display of video circuit information anywhere there is internet connectivity through our user interface. Auto-routing feature allows users to quickly find the best routes between two points and leverages the MediaPulse Rules Engine to add user-defined criteria to the routing choices like least number of hopes or lowest known latency parameters.
