9934-AUD-PRO-DSP 3G/HD/SD-SDI Audio Processor

The Cobalt® 9934-AUD-PRO-DSP  3G/HD/SD-SDI is an advanced audio processor supporting multiple DSP audio options that expand its function well beyond audio DSP and embed/de-embed to maximize frame processing density and system economy. The card’s DSP-based processing core (which supports numerous simultaneous processing engines) uses license “credits” which allows flexible tailoring of multiple proc function instances for optimal agility, surpassing the performance of other audio processors using fixed processing assets. This flexibility allows credits to be ‘traded’ for more Dolby encoders while backing out o loudness processors or othr engine assets.

Audio proc options include:

·      Dolby® Real-Time Loudness Leveling automatic loudness processing

·      Dolby® encode/decode

·      Linear Acoustic® UPMAX™ automatic upmixing

·      +TTS for high-quality Text-To-Speech synthesis, directly converting EAS text to digital audio speech with no baseband signal breakouts or add-ons

·      +QC for Quality Checking that allows failover to alternate inputs or other actions based on user-configurable criteria such as black/frozen frame, audio silence or CC absence

+DSP options can be ordered with the purchase of a new-card, or field-installed as software upgrades without removing the card from its frame.

Standard features include:

·      Downmixing

·      Flex mixing

·      Full AES and balanced analog audio embed/de-embed

·      Bulk and per-channel audio delay controls that easily address lip-sync issues

The 9934-AUD-PRO-DSP also provides analog CVBS video inputs and outputs, and analog audio embedding and de-embedding.

Preset save/load saves custom configurations while allowing the card to revert back to factory settings with one-button. Layered presets enable changes to be invoked that are related to a specific area of concern (audio routing, for example) while not changing any other processing settings or aspects. Full user DashBoard™ or Remote Control Panel operation allows full status and control access locally or across a standard Ethernet network. GPIO facilitates direct input routing control and status monitoring.

The 9934-AUD-PRO-DSP is also available in stand-alone form factor BBG-1034-AUD-PRO-DSP.
