Scheduling Personnel
Confidently schedule your team, knowing the terms of labor resources or statutory agreements are not breached.
Personnel Management works in tandem with the scheduling module to assist schedulers in identifying any potentially irregular situation. During the scheduling of a person onto a shift or roster, the system will validate the resource’s predefined rules and in the event of a conflict or violation, a clear messages is displayed to the scheduler and appropriate users.
Rosters and Shifts
Created by schedulers to quickly see the available personnel for a period, rosters and shifts provide details on each resource’s availability status. Easily view and establish new schedule patterns and time-off events for personnel.
Scheduling information can appear on the Schedule Book and is loaded to the individuals time-card.
Entitlements
Time off for personnel is easy to manage and record with the entitlements feature. Users can easily track vacation, sick or other types of time off. This information is visible to users in a variety of ways
Personnel Crewing
Plan, manage and oversee crewing logistics from travel, transportation to any required accommodation for major productions or events. Easily establish positions and required staff by loading in established templates or create a custom template from a similar event.
Exchange Scheduling Interface
Integration to MS Exchange Server allows MediaPulse to create, update, and delete Outlook appointments. Outlook meeting appointments can be ‘accepted’ or ‘declined’ and update the status of the booking and position in MediaPulse.
Payroll Rules
The payroll rules engine is responsible for monitoring the working hours of the resources to calculate simple and complex pay rates including bonuses and shift premium payments. MediaPulse ensures that everyone with appropriate access can view this information.
Payroll Export
MediaPulse analyzes an employee’s working times based upon the designated rule set or contract and creates payroll transactions as required by a payroll system. This export can be done via reports or APIs.
Personnel Rules
Configurable to support a variety of labor rules to allow for company, contract and/or country specific requirements.
Ø Working Hours Rule manages the requirement where minimum and maximum hours are designated for a given time period.
Ø Maximum Working Days Rule manages the requirement where time off is required when consecutive days worked has exceeded the maximum.
Ø Mandatory Minimum Rest Period Rule manages the requirement where specified duration of time off must be met prior to returning to work. For example, a ‘short turnaround’ warning.
Ø Scheduled Day Off Rule manages the requirement to have one or more scheduled days off between work assignments.
Counters
Easily keep track of your resources’ entitlements and contract payroll rules.
The entitlement counter displays for each resource with a summary of what has been taken or is left to take. The counters are displayed in the schedule book as a grid and in the resource.
Similarly, the payroll rules engine is responsible for monitoring the working hours of the resources to calculate bonuses or premiums, as well as providing scheduling alerts and labor counters.
Time Card
Supports payroll with the ability to track the time a user spends on activities performed during a workday. Users enter times or actualize hours which are loaded from orders. They can have the option of adding a note for each activity describing the details of the action. Hours and activities are linked to orders.
Managers define activities to categorize and approve the work performed to standardize reporting.
MediaPulse Tiles
With our mobile web application users can access MediaPulse from anywhere, at any time, on any device. MediaPulse users can easily record hours and view schedules in real time. A concept of tiles allows complete flexibility.
The My Schedule feature displays a resource’s schedule, roster time, bookings and time offs. Users can create time off requests and receive approvals as well as view bookings details for any additional information.
The My Time Card feature allows users to adjust and fill in actual time for any booking.
