Warning About Housing Scams
NAB has received several reports that invalid 3rd party room scammers are contacting NAB Show New York exhibitors and attendees. These hotel booking scammers have no affiliation with NAB Show New York. The only official NAB Show New York housing vendor is Maritz. No deposit is required to secure a reservation in the official room block for New York. Any company requiring full prepayment, or a deposit, should be viewed with extreme suspicion.

New York in October offers mild, crisp weather perfect for walking outdoors, with vibrant fall foliage peaking in late October. Temperatures typically range from 50 degrees to 65 degrees, which makes it one of the best times to visit.

Regional Transportation

Commuter Rail
The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) and Metro-North offer service to and from Grand Central and Penn Station.
Airports
The New York metropolitan area is serviced by three major airports: JFK International (JFK), Newark International (EWR) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA):
- JFK International (JFK) is accessible via AirTrain, Subway and LIRR, and is approximately 45-60 minutes by taxi.
- Newark International (EWR) is accessible via NJ Transit/PATH and is approximately 40-60 minutes by taxi.
- LaGuardia Airport (LGA) is accessible via MTA buses and is approximately 25-40 minutes by taxi.
Ground Transportation
Navigating New York City is simple thanks to its extensive public transit network and wide range of transportation options. Whether you’re taking the subway, hailing a taxi, catching a ferry, or exploring by bike, getting around the city is convenient and accessible.
Subway
The 7 train stops at 34th Street-Hudson Yards, just a 5-minute walk from Javits Center.
- From Times Square: One stop westbound on the 7 train.
- From Grand Central: Take the 7 train directly to Hudson Yards.
Subway is the fastest and most reliable option during major events. Visit MTA.info to plan your trip.
Buses
Several MTA bus routes serve the Javits Center area, including M34 / M34-SBS, M42, M50, M12 and M11.

Rideshare & Taxis
Designated rideshare drop-off and pick-up for Uber and Lyft is located at 38th Street and 11th Avenue. Follow event signage and traffic personnel instructions upon arrival. Yellow cabs may be hailed conveniently from the street.
Supershuttle
Supershuttle can be used to arrange shuttle services to and from the airports online or by calling + 1 800-258-3826.
Ferry
NY Waterway ferries connect New Jersey and Manhattan, with stops near Midtown West.
From the ferry terminal, the Javits Center is a short walk or bus ride.
Citi Bike
Citi Bike is the primary bike-share program in New York City. Javits Center is connected to Hudson River Park’s bike path system, with a Citi Bike station conveniently located on 34th Street at 11th Avenue. Bike racks are also available on-site.
Traveling by Car
Parking
Parking is available 24 hours a day at the Premium Parking lot located at 700 W 34th St, New York, NY 10001. Allow extra time for traffic and garage entry.
From the North (Westchester, Connecticut, Massachusetts)
95 South (via the Cross-Bronx Expressway) to the George Washington Bridge:
At approach to bridge, bear right to lower level. Exit at the last exit in New York–Parkway South–9A. Follow Parkway South (Henry Hudson Parkway/West Side Highway) to 42nd Street. Turn left. Go one block to 11th Avenue and turn right.
Saw Mill River Parkway/Henry Hudson Parkway/Route 9A:
Follow 9A South to 42nd Street. Turn Left. Go one block to 11th Avenue and turn right.
New York State Thruway/Major Deegan Expressway/Route 87:
Major Deegan Expressway to George Washington Bridge exit. Stay in right lane towards lower level. Exit at the last exit in New York–Parkway South–9A. Follow Parkway South (Henry Hudson Parkway/West Side Highway) to 42nd Street. Turn left. Go one block to 11th Avenue and turn right.
From the South (New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, etc.)
95 North to the New Jersey Turnpike:
Exit at the Lincoln Tunnel. When exiting the tunnel, bear left. Follow signs for uptown or northbound to 42nd Street. Turn left onto 42nd Street until you reach 11th Avenue and turn left.
George Washington Bridge to Parkway South – 9A:
At 42nd Street, turn left. Go one block to 11th Avenue and turn right.
From Queens and Long Island Queens-Midtown Tunnel
Take Southbound or Downtown exit to 34th Street and turn right. Go west and turn right on 11th Avenue.
Queensboro/59th Street Bridge:
Take 60/61st Street Exit. Go to 5th Avenue alongside Central Park to 59th Street. Turn right onto 59th Street to 7th Avenue and turn left. Go two blocks to 57th Street and turn right. Follow 57th Street to 11th Avenue and turn left. The Center is between 34th and 38th streets.
From Staten Island
Verrazano-Narrows Bridge eastbound to the Gowanus Expressway, to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel:
Exit westbound to the West Side Highway/12th Avenue. At 34th Street, turn right. Go one block to 11th Avenue and take a left.
